The Cock & Woolpack, Bank
FancyaPint?'s review...
This pub is a small but perfectly formed Shepherd Neame establishment in the heart of London's financial district, just a hop skip and jump from the Bank of England. What can we say about the beer? It's the usual excellent Neame beers on tap - can't say what the other drinks are like, as we only ever drink the beer when we're in here! The staff are friendly and efficient and the clientele gregarious and pleasant enough local office types with the odd tourist or knowing regular thrown in. And because it's down a little lane, it's ideal for escaping the masses at the more obvious pubs in the area. That said, it does get a bit busy at the usual times ( it was even a bit lively in the middle of a Thursday afternoon). Historic, Victorian, and definitely worth a look if you find yourself out this way. Give it a go.

How to find the The Cock & Woolpack pub
On leaving Bank Station, head along Cornhill, just to the right of the Royal Exchange as you're facing it. Finch Lane is the first on the left off Cornhill and the pub is a short way down on the right.
