King's Arms, Shepherd Market
FancyaPint?'s review...
Another popular establishment in the pub-heavy Shepherd Market. Nowadays, this is one of the better ones - a second refurbishment hasn't really changed much that we can spot beyond adding more tellies and changing the height of the tables (why do pubcos assume we're all 6' and happy to stand around for hours? Oh, it's not for us!). There's a good range of beer on the hand pumps, reasonably well kept. Like most of the other pubs in the locality, on summer evenings it often gets crowded with people spilling outside, as non-smokers join the smokers to catch the last rays of sun. It's probably one for a quick pint rather than a long evening's session, we guess it really depends on how long you can take the tellies.
